Product Warranty Policy

Unisort Ltd are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. This Product Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the warranty coverage for Goods that have been purchased from Unisort Ltd and used within the United Kingdom.  Images of Goods are for illustration purposes only and specification may vary from the product you have purchased.

Warranty Period:

All Goods purchased from Unisort Ltd have a either a standard 1-year (12 months in total) warranty period from the date of your original purchase which is set out  on your invoice or an extended 3-year (36 months in total) warranty period is available for the following Unisort Goods:

  • Unisort Climate Recycling Stations.
  • Unisort Aspire Recycling Stations.
  • Unisort Cup Collector Recycling Stations.

The extended 3-year warranty period is only applicable if the Goods are registered using this warranty form and submitted within 30 days of the original purchase date on your invoice.

Warranty Coverage:

The warranty is applicable to the original purchaser only.

The warranty provided under this Warranty Product Policy is limited to the applicable warranty period set out in clause 1 above and covers all faults arising within this period that are caused by:

  1. Material defects in design, material and workmanship;
  2. Goods failing to be of satisfactory quality within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
  3. Recycled raw materials.

The colours of our Goods may vary slightly from batch to batch due to the nature of the recycled materials and feedstocks used to manufacture these Goods.

The Goods are manufactured from recycled materials, so they may have slight imperfections and marks due to the recycling processes involved.

Warranty Claims:

  • To make a warranty claim, the Customer must provide proof of purchase (copy of original invoice) indicating the date of purchase. All claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period term set out above in clause 1. Any claims made outside the applicable warranty period will not be considered and are invalid.
  • Warranty claims must be submitted (along with detailed photos of claim and written details explaining the fault) within the applicable warranty period.
  • Claims should be made to Unisort Ltd’s customer service department via email, as provided below.

Warranty Exclusions:

Unisort Ltd shall not be liable for, and Goods are not covered by the Product Warranty set out in clause 1, where any failure or damage arises or is caused to the Good by misuse, abuse, negligence, vandalism or accidental loss, including, but not limited to the points below:

  • Dramatic or excessive temperature variations, dampness, humidity, or exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Misplacement and incorrect location or moving products over obstacles such as kerbs or door thresholds.
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs by the Customer and/or on their behalf.
  • Improper installation or maintenance.
  • Use of the product for purposes other than its intended function.
  • Damage caused by third party couriers and transport companies.
  • Where such failure arise by reason of wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence or could be expected to arise in the normal course of use of the Goods.
  • To the extent caused by the Customer’s failure to comply with Unisort Ltd’s instructions in relation to the Goods, including any instructions on installation, operation, storage or maintenance;
  • to the extent caused by Unisort Ltd following any specification, instruction or requirement of or given by the Customer in relation to the Goods;
  • where the Customer uses any of the Goods after notifying Unisort Ltd that they do not comply with clause 1.
  • Natural disasters, acts of God, or any other external causes beyond Unisort’s control.

Except as set out in this Product Warranty Policy, Unisort Ltd gives no warranty and makes no representations in relation to the Goods, Services and/or Deliverables.

Except as set out in this Product Warranty Policy, Unisort Ltd shall have no liability for their failure to comply with the warranty in clause 1.

All warranties and conditions (including the conditions implied by ss 12–16 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 and ss 13–15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979), whether express or implied by statute, common law or otherwise are excluded to the extent permitted.

Warranty Remedies:

Upon validation of a warranty claim, Unisort Ltd will, at its sole discretion, offer one of the following sole and exclusive remedies:

a) Provide spare parts;

b) Repair faulty products;

c) Replace the defective product with an equivalent model;

d) Provide a refund for the original purchase price.

Limitation of Liability: 

  • Unisort Ltd’s liability under this Product Warranty Policy is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective Goods as specified above.
  • In no event shall Unisort Ltd be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use, or inability to use the Goods.

Statutory Rights:

This Product Warranty Policy does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer under applicable consumer protection laws, as governed in UK law.

Transferability:

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product.

Modifications to the Warranty Policy:

Unisort Ltd reserves the right to modify or amend this Product Warranty Policy at any time without prior notice.

By purchasing and using Unisort Ltd’s Goods, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this Product Warranty Policy. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This Product Warranty Policy is effective as of the original purchase date of the Goods which is set out in your invoice and applies to all Unisort Ltd products sold in the United Kingdom thereafter.
